I submitted 5 images to the
juried show "Secret Garden"
at the Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library.

This was a competition in
collaboration with Mercer Botanic Gardens
of photographs featuring the
plant life of Mercer Botanic Gardens.

All 5 of the images were accepted!
The show runs from Oct 16th through Nov 20th.

I figured everyone would
be sending in pictures
of beautiful flowers.
So I went for the images
that were not the traditional
garden images, but showcased
other parts of the garden's flora.

Midnight Garden Hydrangeas was completed around...midnight yesterday in the studio, a small study to warm up my brushes for a new three foot container garden of hydrangeas in progress. I'm preparing a new series of large gallery wrap container gardens in preparation for my one and only annual outdoor show at Dallas Arboretum. Artscape will be held April 26-27, with a member preview the evening of April 25.

You are invited to join me and almost 75 other artists under the cherry blossom trees. This will be a fun show in the most beautiful gardens in North Texas staged at a time when the azaleas, tulips, daffodils, and every flower you can imagine will be blooming simultaneously. Art Fusion Galleries Show Pics  - Original Photography by Texas Contemporary Artist Denise Bossarte




 

Pictures from the Art Fusion Galleries show.
It was wonderful to be at the reception and be able to talk with people
 who stopped by to see my work. 
I don't think I talked to any real "buyers" but it was still fun to share my art!
Music, food, wonderful artwork on 2 floors of the gallery, and a bit too much rain.
I met an abstract painter from TX who does beautiful work. Two Texans in one show... in Miami!!
It was great having both sets of parents there to see my work in the gallery.
Here's to more gallery exhibits in the future!!
