In All It's Glory..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews





In All It's Glory is a pastel on sanded Sennelier paper. This scene is another from the Sam Rayburn Lake trip I have just done. 

I warned you I would be a painting fool after this trip, i took so many photos, all paintable.
My morning and afternoon walks with the puppies were just wonderful, so much beauty!

This is another odd size, but it seemed to suit the subject so I went with it.
6" x 17.6" unframed

distance of a lake. 
Took time in the mornings to visit 
to see what I could find.

 I went to Madison to attend a Nalanda Miksang
photography retreat with my teacher, Miriam Hall.

Lovely time spending a week shooting
in the cool weather!

I haven't ridden in one
for years and years.
But it is fun to watch people
try to get around in them.

The cypress on the water were 
wonderful stately trees,
Their forms varied in branches and trunk shapes
with their roots nestled in the water.
The released water from the dam
had brought more of the trees into
the body of the lake from where
they used to sit along the shores.
