The seventh day painting is another abstract horse painting.  This was painted this past summer as well. I love the clarity in this painting, as well as the rich vibrant colors of the palette used.

*Remember the winners will be chosen AFTER two days because the blog comes out on one day but it is emailed the next to my subscribers, so there will always be a delay of one day.

*If you live out of the continental USA and you win, you must cover your shipping. Just email me to be enter for the 12 Days of Christmas Give Away. Enter just once for the full contest.

As I chose the verse for the blog this day, I am using quite a few readings from Luke. Luke's writing is more detailed and less hurried than the other gospels. This might have been because Luke was a doctor or a healer, so he was very much into preciseness. When reading this passage I almost giggled.  How many time has someone told you something and you just could not bring yourself to believe it to be true?  Some things seem so outlandish and totally unreasonable. In this sense Angel Gabriel had told Zachariah and his wife Elizabeth that she would bear a son and they were to name him John. Zachariah scoffed at the idea because they were both so old. The angel really was not impressed with the reaction.

The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.” Luke 1:19-20

Could you image being struck down mute for questioning something told to you from God?  Have you been listening lately?
