I had started this a few days ago and got sidetracked with my URBAN PAINTINGS.. 

 I finally finished it today.

Ascension..Pastel Over Liquid Acrylics..Abstract... Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

ASCENSION was a challenge, for me, however, a MOST rewarding one. 

I am not one to overlay my pastels with other mediums. I usually just use pastel.

However, having won a whole bunch of art supplies recently (thank you Jack Richeson's Art Supplies) I had a lot of GATORBOARD. 

These boards are a great surface for mixed media such as watercolor, acrylics and pastels.. All are happy to PLAY together on this surface.

                               So here is my PASTEL ABSTRACT effort on GATOR BOARD .

Time Warp...Watercolor and Liquid Acrylics...Texas Artist...Rae Andrews

TIME WARP is a small watercolor and liquid acrylic on Arches paper.

I must say I am loving doing these small abstracts, what a great deal of fun and yet, very thought provoking.
One has to be constantly thinking about the design, in my case, color, shape and line.
When turned at other angles, this one still works for me, it was hard to find where to sign it.

This is an 11" x 7.5" (unframed) image.
