Exploring Oil and Cold Wax by Sally Fraser

FESTIVE FOLLY is 20 x 20.
TRANQUILITY  is 24 x 18.  Both were  inspired by Matisse, with texturing and  use of oil and cold wax, oil pastels and the use of the palette knife in Festive Folly. I changed some shapes and deleted and added to make it my own are in blues.

   I was experimenting with using cold wax with oils, because it has the same look as using 

encaustic with acrylic.  I like the way it blends and gives texture.  The flower idea came after most 

of the painting was completed. It looked like a window so I added a vase and abstract flowers.
