Joy to the World

Last year I did this drawing on my ipad, and decided I would use the drawing for a painting  this year.  The top one is done with watercolor.  When i got through Keri said you were supposed to do that with T-Bone hanging out the window. SO....i duplicated my ipad drawing (on my iPad,so i wouldn't loose the original idea) and erased the snowpeople in the back window, and the kid hanging out the window.  Then I added T-Bone, and the gifts showing through the back window. We ordered some from Vista Print, and I am so anxious to see if they print up nice! I still enjoy drawing on the ipad  but is harder than using a pencil!!

In Training

Every year I have some snow people drawn that I never get time to paint, and this is another one that I found in my sketchbook, so I got it painted, and it is another one of my favorites. I see so many kids in the grocery store with their baskets along with their mom. They are so cute. I call them 'In Training' because it won't be long before they are out on their own, doing their own thing.

Christmas Time Demo

I was invited to demo for the Denver City, TX art Association, and since it is already December, I decided to do a Christmas theme. I love doing them.
I went through my old vehicle file, and picked out an old truck, then I cut away all the background, drew in a Christmas Tree and a wreath.  It is available, 16x20 (after framing) suzy_pal2000@yahoo.com if interested.

More Christmas ornaments by Suzy 'Pal' Powell

I did the 3rd and 4th painting with the water soluble oils. Now I am out of the gessobord, since I only ordered 4.  I really like painting on it, so guess I will be getting some more. I am still trying to adjust to the mess! Hopefully I will learn to be neater!
